God provides the best backgrounds! :)

I remember it so vividly...I walked into the apartment and the smell of coffee greeted me. :) The people were friendly, the conversation was good...It was my first time ever to attend a LifeGroup, the small groups that meet as a part of LifeChurch.tv. :) Anna Meadows was the leader of this particular LifeGroup. I really didn't know Anna at all when I started attending, but that was over a year ago...Now she has become a wonderful friend as well as a great blessing and encouragement to me! There was also a cute boy who attended LifeGroup...a boy named Cody....And it was such a joy to watch he and Anna fall in love!! They really are a perfect match! They will be married in a couple weeks, and I wanted to share these engagement portraits we shot several weeks ago.

Anna and Cody love to be outdoors surrounded by nature, so we drove down to the wildlife refuge in Lawton. When we got there, we could see lightning in the distance, and thick clouds covered the sky. All we could do was pray for no rain! Later, Anna's mom said she watched the storm on radar as it split and went on either side of where we were shooting! God is good....! :)

Cody rode his bike down so we could include it in a few pics...

the writing's on the wall

Wow, I am so excited to share this post! First, I got to shoot in one of my favorite cities: Tulsa, Oklahoma! :) {Seriously, i love Tulsa! It has such a cool vibe!} Second, Hai and Kelly were just so sweet together during their session! Honestly, they have one of the most romantic proposal stories I've ever heard! Hai completely surprised Kelly by proposing to her while they were parasailing in the Bahamas...at sunset, no less! Perfection, right? He did say that he waited to give her the ring until they were back on the boat, just so he wouldn't drop it in the water as a result of nerves. So cute! :)























I love seeing couples laugh together! :)




















Okay, I just have to say that all the credit for these last shots goes to Kelly & Hai! They noticed this wall as we were driving, and then they were brave enough to pose in front of it on a busy street corner while people whistled and yelled from their cars! haha! :)

a fair trade

So, to all the ladies who read my blog: You know that feeling you have right after getting your hair done? That extra confidence and feeling of hotness? :) There's just nothing that boosts the spirits quite like a good hair day, is there? :)
Well, Jamie is a good friend of mine who I got to know through a small group I attend for my church. She is an absolute sweetheart, and she also happens to be a fab hair dresser {at the very cool DK Salon}! And I'm lucky enough to speak from experience when I say she's good! You see, she agreed to exchange some 'do's for some engagement photos! :) Pretty sweet deal, if you ask me! I personally think it was a fair trade, but I'll have to post a photo of my new 'do soon, so that you all can be the judge of that! haha. :)
